Despite the chilly and windy weather, the BBQ Basics classes held at Bass Pro Shops in Independence, Missouri on April 22 and 23 were a huge success! Operation BBQ Relief’s volunteers and 35 participants, including Veterans and First Responders, braved the elements to join us.
Tremendous thanks to our partners at Bass Pro Shops, as well as our award- winning pitmasters who generously volunteered their time to teach the classes: Brad and Breana Coulter of @smokenmagic, Trey Zink of @treyzthreebbq, and John Atwell of @joustingpigsbbq. It’s thanks to their dedication and passion that our participants were able to sharpen their BBQ skills.
BBQ Basics classes are part of The Always Serving Project, which provides premier BBQ education exclusively for members of the military, veterans, and first responders. Our team loves to give back to those who have and still serve their communities, and we absolutely can’t wait to do it again.
