When severe storms knocked out power across Wyandotte County, Kansas, in August 2026, our team jumped into action. Over two days, we had the privilege of serving 800 hot meals to local families.
What stood out most wasn’t just the work we did, but the spirit of the community. On our last day, our Director of Operations, Skeeter Stone, was joined by a brand-new group of volunteers – neighbors helping neighbors, including several people who had received meals on day one and came back to pay it forward. We may be packed up, but Kansas will always have our support.
