March 7, 2026

When a tornado struck the Union City, Michigan area on March 6, 2026, our amazing team of staff and volunteers responded within 24 hours. Over five days, we were honored to provide 2,024 hot meals to residents and first responders as they navigated the aftermath of the storm.

Barbecue is about more than just food; it’s about community. This deployment was only possible because of the tireless dedication of our volunteers and the unwavering support of our sponsors and partners. To the residents we met: your strength and resilience throughout this challenge have left a lasting mark on all of us.

We may have packed up our pits, but we left a piece of our hearts behind.

Stay strong, Michigan. If you ever need us again, we’ll be there.
