On June 6, 2019, a storm dumped more than four inches of rain on Tulsa within three hours and caused widespread flooding along the Arkansas River. Roughly 600 homes and businesses in the Tusla area were subsequently forced to evacuate. Operation BBQ Relief volunteers served the healing power of BBQ the residents, first responders, and volunteers helping throughout the impacted communities. The Salvation Army also used their canteen trucks to help distribute hot meals to the heavily hit areas of the community and surrounding areas.
