Lake Jackson, Texas (Hurricane) / 33,980 Meals Over 12 Days

Jul 8, 2024 | Deployments

After Hurricane Beryl made landfall on July 8, 2024, damaging homes, flooding businesses, and causing power outages for millions of people, Operation BBQ Relief arrived in Lake Jackson, Texas within 48 hours to provide hot meals, comfort, and a little bit of normalcy for folks who lost so much. We extend a heartfelt “thank you” to our invaluable volunteers, sponsors, donors, and community partners for making this mission possible. Together, we provided 33,980 meals to first responders, residents, and relief workers affected by Hurricane Beryl. Our special appreciation goes out to Walmart and Lowe’s for generously allowing us to serve meals at their stores.

To the people of Lake Jackson, thank you so much for your hospitality! Your strength and resilience are truly inspiring. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts!
