Most people know Operation BBQ Relief (OBR) for disaster response – but through The Always Serving Project®, our mission to support our nation’s heroes continues year-round.
To celebrate the U.S. Coast Guard’s birthday, OBR volunteers fired up the smokers at three Coast Guard bases in July and August 2026 to serve up 3,500+ fresh barbecue meals and genuine gratitude to the men and women protecting our waters.
Thanks to our partnership with the U.S. Coast Guard’s Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) division, we brought the celebrations to:

⚓ U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City – Elizabeth City, North Carolina
⚓ U.S. Coast Guard Yard – Baltimore, Maryland
