On August 6–7, 2026, Operation BBQ Relief (OBR) returned to Swannanoa, North Carolina – a community we proudly served following Hurricane Helene in 2024.
OBR Area Coordinator, military veteran, and Purple Heart recipient Alan Nichols hosted a special cooking demonstration for local veterans during a regional barbecue competition. Alan coached the group through the finer points of grilling competition-grade chicken, ribs, and steak, while sharing how OBR enriches heroes’ lives and feeds communities after disaster.
