Gila County, Arizona (Flooding) / 3,825 Meals Over 9 Days

On September 26, 2025, devastating floods struck Gila County, Arizona. Our Operation BBQ Relief team, led by Regional Director for Region 6 Jerry Hingtgen, mobilized instantly, arriving within 24 hours to ensure first responders and search-and-rescue teams had hot, nourishing meals.

Our mission was powered by incredible local partnerships, including Frasher’s Smokehouse, Willie’s Taco Joint, and Arizona Liquor Industry Consultants. Over nine days, this joint effort resulted in 3,825 warm, comforting meals served to those on the front lines and the community embarking on recovery.

This was our organization’s first disaster deployment to Arizona, and the resilience we witnessed was extraordinary. To watch Gila County neighbors helping one another—even amidst their own losses—was truly inspiring and a testament to the power of community.

We extend our profound thanks to all our volunteers, donors, and sponsors. You made this deployment possible, allowing us to deliver more than just food; you helped us deliver hope. We’re saying goodbye for now, but we promise: We’ll be back if Gila County ever needs us again.
