At Operation BBQ Relief, our mission doesn’t pause between disasters. The Always Serving Project® honors military members, veterans, first responders, and their families year-round with hot BBQ meals, thank-you events, and community partnerships. It’s our way of reminding heroes that their service is never forgotten.
Through Days of Giving, we also extend care to food-insecure communities and families still recovering long after disaster strikes. These events bring hope, nourishment, and connection to neighbors who need it most.
Connecting, Inspiring, and Educating
Through the Always Serving Project®, Operation BBQ Relief gives back to those who’ve given so much. Whether it’s a hot BBQ meal at a firehouse, a thank-you event for military families, or a community gathering with our partners, each moment is about connection, gratitude, and hope.
For veterans, first responders, service members, and their families, these meals are more than food — they’re a reminder that their sacrifices are seen, valued, and never forgotten.
At BBQ Academy, we share the skills and spirit of barbecue to inspire service. Through hands-on and virtual workshops, participants learn the craft of BBQ while exploring how food can heal, connect, and bring joy. Our goal is simple: to empower people to use their passion for BBQ to make a difference in their communities and in the lives of those who serve.
Through Meals of Gratitude, we serve hot BBQ meals to military members, veterans, first responders, and their families. These events are our way of saying “thank you” — gathering around the table to honor their service, strengthen connections, and remind heroes their sacrifices are never forgotten.
Days of Giving extend OBR’s mission to food-insecure communities and to neighbors still recovering long after disaster strikes. By serving meals in partnership with local organizations, we provide nourishment, comfort, and connection to families who need it most.
