Manhattan, Kansas – 339th MCT Deployment

Apr 19, 2025 | Days of Giving

On April 19, 2025, Operation BBQ Relief (OBR) Region 4 Area Coordinator Randy Hartmann and his wife Karen had the honor of providing 100 delicious meals to the service members and families of the U.S. Army Reserve 339th Movement Control Team, based in Manhattan, Kan., as they prepare for deployment overseas.

In partnership with OBR Volunteers Mike and Connie Beene of M2 Smokin Q BBQ in Topeka, Kan.—who graciously prepared the food—we were proud to come together in support of these brave men and women. For many, it may have been their last hot BBQ meal stateside for a while, and we were humbled to be part of that moment.

To the 339th: thank you for your service. And to everyone who helped make this event possible—your support means the world.
