Petaluma, California (Fire) / 200 Meals Over 1 Day

Oct 30, 2019 | Deployments

The Kincade Fire was the largest of the 2019 California wildfires and burned over 77,000 acres. Mandatory evacuations were put in place around Sonoma County, and Operation BBQ Relief was asked to come feed first responders and impacted residents in shelters. Within 24 hours, firefighters were able to improve containment enough that the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office lifted some evacuation orders and allowed residents to return to their homes.
