Jonesboro, Arkansas (Tornado) / 1,700 Meals Over 2 Days

Mar 29, 2020 | Deployments

On the evening of March 28, 2020, a supercell thunderstorm produced several tornadoes in Arkansas. The most significant tornado was an EF3 tornado that ripped through Jonesboro. With winds up to 140 miles per hour, the tornado damaged homes, businesses, and an airport over a 12 mile stretch. This deployment hit close to home because our own Director of Disaster Coordination, Dewayne Daniel, lives in the area. With the help of Dewayne and Q49 Smokehouse, Operation BBQ Relief was proud to provide meals to first responders and impacted residents.
