Operation BBQ Relief provided 37,000 hot BBQ meals in response to Winter Storm Uri in Houston. The historic winter storm, which lasted from February 13 to 17, 2021, broke pipes and left hundreds of thousands of residents without power and access to water. Meals were delivered to seniors and individuals with disabilities. Operation BBQ Relief celebrated its 9,000,000th meal with Mayor Sylvester Turner during this deployment in Houston.
