Fayetteville & Lumberton, North Carolina (Hurricane) / 118,700 Meals Over 8 Days

Oct 18, 2016 | Deployments

Hurricane Matthew hit North Carolina in October 2016. This Category 5 hurricane left over $6 billion in damages and 28 people dead throughout the southeastern United States. In Lumberton, the Lumber River flooded and either damaged or destroyed multiple homes and businesses. By quickly mobilizing volunteers from several states, Operation BBQ Relief was able to ensure that the victims of this disaster were provided with the comfort of a hot BBQ meal.
