Dexter, Michigan (Tornado) / 2,300 Meals Over 3 Days

On March 15, 2012, an EF3 tornado left a path of destruction seven miles long and nearly half a mile wide in Washtenaw County. 100 homes were damaged and destroyed, and the tornado resulted in fires and flooding across the county. While the damage was extensive, there were fortunately no deaths or serious injuries resulting from the storm. Operation BBQ Relief volunteers served meals to tornado victims, volunteers, and emergency response personnel.
