Hurricane Irma was classified as a Category 4 hurricane when it made landfall in Florida on September 10, 2017. Hurricane Irma caused widespread damage due to storm surges, high winds, and rainfall that caused power loss and flooding. In addition to the deployment in Southwest Florida, FedEx worked with Operation BBQ Relief to fly meals to the Florida Keys.
