On Saturday September 9th, 2023 Operation BBQ Relief and a few North Carolina disaster partners (Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Raleigh – Cape Fear, Legal Aid of North Carolina – Wilmington, & New Hanover County Emergency Management) worked together for a disaster preparedness resource day in Wilmington, NC. The event helped address heir property issues and its domino effects in times of disaster, as well as provide additional resources disaster partners have available to assist residents in times of disaster. Operation BBQ Relief also provided lunch for the event, including providing additional meals for the Wilmington community at Robert Taylor Community Homes and Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard.
