On Saturday, July 29, 2023 Operation BBQ Relief served 550 meals at the All In Kansas City Back to School Event, sponsored by Kansas City-area Starbucks stores.
In addition to free meals, the event provided backpacks, school supplies, groceries, haircuts, and more to community members to address food scarcity, health equity, and education issues. We were so proud to participate in this event as part of The Always Serving Project – Days of Giving program, which aims to share the spirit of BBQ and provide meals to communities facing food insecurity.
We are so thankful to Kingsford for donating charcoal to help make this event possible.
