Houston, Texas – Texas Search and Rescue Exercise

May 21, 2025 | Days of Giving

We were proud to support the Texas Search and Rescue Exercise (TX SAREX) on May 21, 2025—an essential training event held in Houston, Texas that brought together first responders, National Guard units, the U.S. Coast Guard, and other emergency response agencies.

TX SAREX simulates real-world disaster scenarios to strengthen preparedness, enhance interagency coordination, and improve search and rescue operations across local, state, and federal partners.

Operation BBQ Relief was honored to provide hot, comforting barbecue meals to 200 dedicated first responders and military personnel participating in the exercise. It was our privilege to fuel the heroes who train tirelessly to protect and save lives.

A heartfelt “thank you” to our incredible volunteers, whose dedication and hard work made our support at this event possible.
