Starting on April 27, 2024, and into the first few weeks of May, our area coordinators and supporting volunteers successfully carried out our 2nd Annual “Feeding the Firefighters” initiative held in honor of International Firefighters’ Day on May 4. Throughout this initiative, Operation BBQ Relief fed 1,776 firefighters at 121 locations in 22 cities across 13 states! This was a significant increase from last year when we provided meals at 46 individual firehouses in 15 cities across nine states. We were honored to serve those who serve us.
