Operation BBQ Relief teamed up with Veterans Village of San Diego (VVSD) to host BBQ Basics. Six teams from Veteran’s Village learned the processes needed to make an impact in their own communities with the healing power of BBQ. Thhe event highlighted our efforts to connect, inspire, serve, educate, and feed our nation’s heroes. Veterans learned the art of grilling and smoking meats from our CEO Stan Hays, Purple Heart recipient and 2019 Rod Cramer Volunteer of the Year Alan Nichols, and several award winning pitmasters.
