Through The Always Serving Project®, Operation BBQ Relief doesn’t just respond after disasters — we serve year-round, bringing comfort, connection, and hope to those who serve and protect.
On August 5, our volunteers joined National Night Out celebrations in Morris, Monee, and at Chicago’s Navy Pier in Illinois. National Night Out is about fostering trust and unity between neighbors and law enforcement, and OBR was honored to be part of that mission by sharing BBQ and building community.
- Morris: At Goold Park, our team welcomed both new and returning volunteers, coming together to serve families and strengthen local ties.
- Monee: OBR partnered with local police departments and community groups, spreading a message of safety and unity with every plate served.
- Chicago: Against the iconic backdrop of Navy Pier, our volunteers fired up the smokers alongside 20 other organizations, offering comfort food and meaningful connections in the heart of the city.
From small-town parks to Chicago’s skyline, OBR showed up to help neighbors gather, share a meal, and celebrate community. A heartfelt thank-you to every volunteer who brought the OBR spirit to life and made these events so memorable.
