On Dec. 4-6, 2024, Operation BBQ Relief teamed up with the Caribbean BBQ Association, Volunteers of America, The United Pearls of Puerto Rico, and the US Coast Guard Culinary Program. Together, we brought 450 hot meals to Coast Guardsmen and their families stationed at U.S. Coast Guard Sector San Juan, Puerto Rico—expressing our gratitude for their service and sacrifices with every bite. But we didn’t stop there. We also provided over 500 additional meals to spread warmth and nourishment to older adults in the community.
This mission was only possible thanks to the incredible dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of our community partners. By fostering these meaningful connections in Puerto Rico, we’re not just sharing meals—we’re building a network of support ready to respond when disasters strike in the future.
