On May 29, 2024, Operation BBQ Relief Volunteers Jeff Allen, Ronnie Gilman, and Andrew Steinmetz served 200 hot barbecue meals to first responders at the 2024 San Miguel Firefighters Charitable Golf Tournament in Poway, California. We also educated golf tournament participants about our mission to feed communities after disasters and enrich the lives of heroes year-round and registered new volunteers. Thanks so much to the San Miguel Firefighters for inviting us, and to our volunteers who helped make this event a success! We were honored to give back to those who give so much to keep our communities safe.
