703,698 Meals |  173 Days Deployed | 18 States
4,067 Meals per day | Over 2,750 Volunteers

Operation BBQ Relief was founded in May, 2011 in response to a need for relief efforts in tornado-stricken Joplin, Missouri, a community of about 50,000 residents. Volunteers of competition BBQ teams from eight states answered the need to help feed displaced families, Police, Fire, National Guard and emergency personnel.

Operation BBQ Relief has grown to become a Disaster Response Team made up of over 3,500 volunteers and competition BBQ teams. We provide hot bbq meals, provide compassion, offer hope and friendship to those whose lives have been affected by disasters across the United States. Our expertise in cooking, catering barbecue meals and our ability to quickly mobilize allows our deployment teams into any area where nature disrupts

Since May of 2011, Operation BBQ Relief has served over 700,000 meals in 18 states. Our funding comes from fundraisers, online merchandise sales and donations. Join #IHeartOBR a tax deductible monthly contribution where you can select donation options to help support Operation BBQ Relief.
