The National BBQ Association Celebrates Operation BBQ Relief

Spring is finally here and we are getting ourselves ready for another great barbecue and grilling season! But before we head out an enjoy this great weather, I wanted to share with you what happened at the 2013 National Barbecue Association National Conference in Mobile, AL. I was there and it was an amazing experience! I met so many great barbecue friends who are great supporters and want to help Operation BBQ Relief expand! One of our volunteers Lynn Enterkin  wrote about her experience and I am excited to share her experience with you!

If you are also in the MO area, join us this Friday, April 5th 2013 for a "Stock the Trailer and Eat Some BBQ Fundraiser for Operation BBQ Relief." Here is  the event information on Facebook! If you can't make it to the event you can always make a donation via our secure website or head to the Operation BBQ store for some great Operation BBQ Relief clothes and so much more!

If you have a great experience about being part of Operation BBQ Relief and want to write about it, send me an email and then I will get in touch with you!

About Operation BBQ Relief Operation BBQ Relief is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation founded in May, 2011 in response to a need for relief efforts in tornado-stricken Joplin, Missouri. On Sunday evening, May 22, a massive multi-vortex EF5 tornado plowed through the southwest Missouri community of about 50,000 residents, killing over 140 people and injuring more than 1,000. It left a path of almost total destruction six miles long and over a half mile wide. It is now classified as the second deadliest tornado in U.S. history.
